Okay, you read it anyway. I plan on using this area to test html code in board posts, and invite you to do the same if you wish.
Anyway, content below this will probably be nonsense and very very boring. Be my guest if you wish to use this topic for any nefareous reason.
Bob
Thanks,
Bob
...sounded interesting "Test Area," and hmm interesting and Yes, this is good 'cause I realize sometimes we need a try out to know if something is working or no.
Good Job BlBobby ...Also to allow you to know, I am in contact with my local City Clerk as of Thurdasy, November 16, 2006 and we have it worked out so as to share various what may not so much be working/what requires attention to work better and so forth, regarding VOTEing and BALLOTs and various MACHINE/COMPUTERS in use..ESPECIALLY as we all are moving, well, here in America, United States of: Moving forward towards the Elections~~year 2008.

i have sceen links work pretty reasontly.
But what would be fun is if we could inbed sounds or make the page redirect.
There is a bit under the reply feeld that tells you some html that you can put in.
BEN.
to to get the html to work properly use less then and greater then signs before and after the tags like lessthen aref = http://www.google.com greater then. that seems to make it work
lol no it doesn't
Can anyone explain why the link in post #3 didn't work? I swear it did at one time; or at least I thought it did.
Bob

Takes a person to search engine
Well Bob, don't ask me why this is but, you need to write everything pertaining to HTML in lower case on here or that stops it working. At least, that certainly used to be the case. However, I'm a born adventurer at heart so I shall put my theory to the test. First writing what you should have written in upper case then repeating the process in lower case. If I'm correct then the first link shouldn't work but you'll see exactly what you should write, and the second link should work. Serious potential here for egg on ones face but here goes! LOL.
I believe the word I'm looking for here is, bingo?
Damn CLs. Give them one question they can answer, and they move your whole topic. <grin>.
Bingo's right Dan. Many many thanks. Who'd a thunk it.
Bob

The following guidelines were originally produced by Wraith and posted in a message on the boards.
The guidelines are merely that, guidelines, designed to assist those with knowledge of html wishing to improve their messages and posts here on the zone. They are never required, and, in fact, most Zoners get along fine without using html code at all.
html tags:

I never follow directions, so of course I read this anyway.
Becky I sure hope you enjoyed it.
Let's try once more. BTW: the &bull didn't seem to take.

However, for messages and notes on the zone, tags seem to work better if they
are in lower-case.

What's wrong with this line:
• <a href="[protocol][url]"&gr text of link</a> -- create an anchor (link) to another url.
Is this better?
• <a href="[protocol][url]"&grtext of link</a> -- create an anchor (link) to another url.

• <a href="[protocol][url]">text of link</a> -- create an anchor (link) to another url.
yea!!!
Bobby,
All these many trials and testings..they seem to go on f*o*r*e*v*e*r... This has truly been a year that has held you tightly within the html's grip. May the year that is just about to begin, on the other side of tomorrow, well, may you continue on with the good that you have learned, progressing each day as new advancements you are given to glean from.
